Join us at Granola for a conversation with Corin Mellor , Creative Director of David Mellor Design and designer of the infamous Granola spoon! Corin Mellor is the son of renowned designer-silversmith David Mellor CBE and cultural historian Fiona MacCarthy OBE. Trained as a product designer at Kingston University, Corin embarked on a career that seamlessly blended craftsmanship with architectural finesse. Joining his father’s company, David Mellor Design, Corin quickly made his mark as a designer-craftsman. In 2006, he assumed the role of Creative Director, taking the helm of the family business and expanding its repertoire. Corin and Sam Garson (Granola) will talk about designing things people actually want to use and what happens when the world of design meets AI. Doors open at 6pm. Please arrive by 6.30pm. The talk kicks off at 6.30pm and the doors will be shut after this. Drinks and snacks will be provided. We expect this to be heavily oversubscribed, so please register to secure your spot.
