Senior Finance Manager

We’re reinventing payments. In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.

Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year. But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The role

Dojo is a fast-growing fintech on a mission to transform how businesses take payments and manage their finances. As we scale across the UK and beyond, we are building a forward-thinking, high-impact Finance function that matches that ambition.

As Senior Finance Manager, you will be a cornerstone of our Finance team—bringing technical excellence, commercial insight, and supportive leadership to a talented group of early-career finance professionals. You will own the integrity of our financial reporting and compliance, drive automation to streamline workflows, and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional moving from practice into industry, or with high-growth tech experience, who is motivated by the opportunity to shape best-in-class finance operations and build something exceptional.

What you will do...

Lead, coach, and inspire a team of early-career finance professionals, actively supporting their professional study and career growth.

Critically review financial workflows and partner with technology teams to lead automated improvements that scale safely.

Take ownership of complex technical accounting (IFRS and UK GAAP) and implement robust, well-documented financial controls.

Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings, managing the external audit process with clarity and confidence.

Partner cross-functionally to provide practical finance guidance on new product launches and develop transparent internal policies.

Communicate financial insights and process recommendations to senior leadership to drive informed strategic decisions.

What you will bring...

A professional accounting qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an internationally recognised equivalent).

Experience in an industry finance role outside of practice, ideally within a high-growth, technology, or fintech environment.

Direct experience managing, mentoring, and developing early-career finance talent.

Advanced technical accounting expertise (IFRS / UK GAAP) and strong literacy with modern finance and ERP systems.

A proven track record of identifying inefficiencies, designing scalable solutions, and driving process automation.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into plain language for diverse stakeholders.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.

You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.

You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
