Within Endava’s TMT segment, the Media, Entertainment & Sports (MES) group leverages deep expertise in sports technology, media platforms, data, AI and large-scale digital experiences. Endava is seeking an Industry Solutions Director to shape and deliver its solution strategy across this high-growth vertical on a global scale.
As a senior leader, you will be accountable for defining strategically differentiated, commercially viable solutions aligned with evolving client needs across digital media, content distribution, interactive entertainment, sports technology and fan engagement. You will act as a trusted strategic adviser and hands-on solution leader during major client pursuits, co-creating compelling, deliverable solutions with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will ensure end-to-end solution integrity, balancing innovation with feasibility and commercial outcomes, while championing the repeatability and reusability of successful solution patterns to scale impact across markets and drive consistent value delivery.
You will contribute strategic direction on capability development and service innovation, helping Endava remain future-ready and competitive. You will work closely with Client Partners and Sales, Delivery, Practices and Capability leaders to align go-to-market efforts and pursuit strategies. Building strong, trust-based relationships with senior clients, you will reframe complex challenges into meaningful transformation. The role suits a strategic specialist who bridges deep industry domain knowledge with strong technical credibility and operates confidently at the intersection of technology, entertainment and commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities include defining three to five go-to-market solutions per year aligned to the MES vertical strategy, covering fan engagement platforms, content monetisation, sports analytics and immersive digital experiences; partnering with Practices and Alliances to build capabilities around AI, real-time data, gamification and audience-driven personalisation; maintaining a market-informed backlog of solution gaps and opportunities; monitoring competitive trends across leagues, broadcasters, streaming platforms and sports technology providers; championing reusable solution patterns; contributing to annual vertical planning; and refreshing solution themes quarterly.
You will lead solution shaping on five or more strategic pursuits per year, ensuring proposals are technically robust, margin-aligned and deliverable. You will coach pursuit teams to build compelling, win-ready solutions for sports, media and entertainment buyers, drive reuse of intellectual property across proposals, and analyse sports and digital media market trends, competitive landscapes and emerging technologies.
You will act as a strategic trusted adviser to global clients, including brand partners, broadcasters, digital platforms, federations and media rights holders, shaping digital transformation and growth strategies. You will lead senior-level conversations around technology adoption, fan personalisation, data strategies, media planning, immersive experiences and content monetisation; reframe client challenges into solution-led opportunity roadmaps; build confidence and credibility with C-suite stakeholders; and secure two or more strategic client references or testimonials based on solution work annually.
You will embed AI, automation and emerging technology into solution designs where relevant, including real-time gamification, predictive analytics, AI-driven performance insights and next-generation digital platforms. You will identify and scale at least one market-making or cross-industry solution annually, drive opportunities around fan engagement, personalisation, smart data applications and digital content distribution, and run bi-annual solution innovation sprints with Practices.
You will participate in pursuit reviews, strategic account growth meetings, win/loss analysis and deal assurance; provide feedback to Practices and Service Lines on capability maturity and gaps relevant to the MES domain; create and maintain alignment artefacts such as solution catalogues, design patterns and competitive insight frameworks; and partner with internal delivery, technology and product teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
Candidates should have 12–15 or more years’ experience in solution or enterprise architecture, consulting, delivery or commercial leadership roles; proven success shaping and selling large, strategic and complex solutions in a consulting or IT services context; deep expertise and an established network within the sports technology and media ecosystem, including fan engagement platforms, analytics, media rights distribution, immersive experiences and data monetisation; extensive experience in pre-sales, proposals and C-level client engagement; and a track record of developing and executing client strategies that deliver sustained growth, including 20% or more revenue growth across a portfolio.
You should also have experience working across sectors and tailoring and scaling offerings; hands-on leadership experience during strategic deals and contract structuring; prior experience in end-to-end product and platform-as-a-service build, including architecture, build, support and operation; strategic thinking that balances innovation, feasibility and commercial outcomes; advanced pre-sales solutioning capability across technology and business dimensions; strong technical credibility in digital platforms, AI, automation, cloud, data platforms and digital media ecosystems; and a strong understanding of sports technology verticals such as analytics platforms, fan engagement technologies, smart data applications, digital content distribution and competitive insight frameworks.
The role requires excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, executive-level presence across C-suite audiences, experience leading advisory or early discovery conversations with senior clients, familiarity with delivery models and service-based commercial constructs including account P&L management, and a commitment to solution excellence, reusable intellectual property and pursuit discipline. You should be resilient, pragmatic and hands-on when needed, able to shape strategy and execute in detail.
A bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or related field is required. Postgraduate qualifications such as an MSc or MBA, or equivalent experience, are preferred.
