This role is focused on a market-leading Industrial AI solution designed to help organisations measure, disclose and optimise their impact on the path to decarbonisation. The solution enables customers to move beyond static sustainability reporting to operational, decision-grade intelligence embedded directly into how the business runs. The platform delivers end-to-end carbon intelligence across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions; a scalable, actionable pathway for decarbonisation in complex industrial environments; and near real-time insights that enable faster, smarter operational and strategic decisions.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering scalable, cloud-based Industrial AI solutions that create meaningful outcomes for customers and the business. You will provide technical leadership across both front-end and back-end development, influence architectural decisions, and help evolve the platform into a secure, observable, high-quality product portfolio. This role requires a strong engineering mindset, hands-on full stack capability, and the ability to work across multiple general-purpose programming languages and frameworks, including GoLang and React. You will be expected to continuously learn, adapt and guide others as technologies and product needs evolve.
While this role begins within an Industrial emissions intelligence solution, it is not confined to a single product or problem space. It is an entry point into a broader AI-driven product portfolio, with opportunities to expand across products, domains and technologies as the platform evolves.
Core responsibilities include leading the design, architecture and implementation of scalable APIs, services and accessibility-first user interfaces; driving the modernisation of legacy systems into modular, event-driven, API-first components; delivering AI-native features and improvements across both front-end and back-end using multiple programming languages where required; and providing technical direction and making sound engineering trade-offs around scalability, maintainability, performance and product impact.
You will own reliability and operational excellence, including telemetry, SLOs, error budgets, on-call rotations, incident response and continuous service improvement. You will champion DevOps practices, including CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring and application-level operations, and collaborate with Platform Engineers as part of a lean DevOps shared service model while taking responsibility for application-level DevOps within the team. You will mentor engineers, promote engineering best practices and help raise the technical bar across the team. You will champion code quality, documentation, automated testing, performance, security and maintainability, and take full ownership of the quality of deliverables, including test automation, continuous improvement and production readiness.
You will partner closely with Product Management, Design, AI, Platform Engineering and other engineering teams on product discovery, technical trade-offs and delivery. You will bring a product- and customer-led mindset to solving customer pain points with elegant, scalable engineering solutions, and identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks and opportunities to improve the platform architecture and engineering ways of working.
Essential qualifications include strong experience in full stack software engineering, with proven capability across both front-end and back-end development; solid experience with modern front-end technologies, particularly React or similar frameworks; strong back-end engineering experience, ideally including GoLang or comparable general-purpose programming languages; and experience designing and building scalable APIs, services and cloud-native applications. You should have a strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, automation and incident response; experience delivering secure, observable, high-quality production software; and a strong focus on code quality, automated testing, documentation, performance and maintainability. You should be able to lead technical design discussions and influence architectural decisions, collaborate effectively across Product, Design, Platform and Engineering teams, and take accountability for outcomes from design through to production.
Desirable experience includes cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP; event-driven architectures, distributed systems or microservices; modernising legacy systems into modular, scalable platforms; working in cross-functional product teams; mentoring engineers or contributing to engineering standards; and working with AI-enabled, data-intensive, sustainability, carbon intelligence or enterprise SaaS products. Familiarity with observability, reliability engineering, SLOs, error budgets and production incident management is also desirable.
We are looking for a senior engineer who can combine strong hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You should be comfortable building across the stack, making architectural decisions, improving engineering practices and influencing how products are designed, delivered and operated. You will be successful in this role if you enjoy solving complex customer problems, building scalable cloud-native systems, collaborating across disciplines and helping teams deliver high-quality software that has real-world impact.
The company embraces flexibility and hybrid work opportunities to support diverse needs and lifestyles, while also valuing inclusive workplace experiences and engagement with colleagues to share ideas and build meaningful relationships.
