Netcraft is the global leader in cybercrime detection and disruption, protecting the world from cybercrime. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be trusted with meaningful, production-level work from the outset, contributing directly to the development and enhancement of core platforms and services used by major institutions across the public and private sectors.
You will join a specialised engineering team focused on a distinct area of Netcraft’s technology stack. Depending on your interests and skills, your work may involve improving infrastructure scalability, enhancing anti-phishing detection systems, developing tools to monitor and analyse web vulnerabilities, or refining user interfaces for internal and external applications. You may help scale a classification system that processes over 15 million URLs daily or contribute to automating workflows that remove malicious content from the internet.
You will be supported by experienced engineers, many of whom began their careers at Netcraft as interns, and will benefit from open communication, mentorship and continuous learning. Netcraft offers strong benefits and wellness programmes, meaningful collaboration and team connection. The role can be based out of the London, Bath or Manchester offices.
Netcraft is seeking curious, adaptable and motivated individuals who are passionate about coding and eager to grow. Prior cybersecurity experience is not required, but you should have a willingness to learn. You will need strong attention to detail, a solutions-focused mindset, demonstrable ability in imperative programming, an interest in internet technologies, network security, data mining or web-based user interfaces, and a solid academic track record. You should also have good communication skills and fluency in English, experience working collaboratively in teams, and a well-developed sense of caution and ability to plan for the future using suitable programming abstractions, automated test suites and version control.
Netcraft supports under-represented groups and maintains a working environment free from bias, harassment and discrimination. Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, and adjustments can be made to the hiring process to ensure every candidate can participate fully.
