We’re on the hunt for a valiant CurseForge Content Moderator to join our team and help keep our modding platform safe, engaging, user-friendly, and fun. As our Moderation Maestro, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities, from ensuring the quality of content across the platform to assisting creators with questions and improving the overall user experience. This role is open to candidates who are eligible to work in the UK.
Responsibilities include ensuring the CurseForge project library maintains high standards of quality, appropriateness, and safety; reviewing, approving, rejecting, or providing feedback on mods and add-ons in accordance with content, EULA, and ToS policies; supporting CurseForge authors with technical issues and concerns; collaborating with Support, R&D, QA, and other teams to address daily operational challenges; verifying files; responding to creator inquiries across multiple communication channels; and forging a lasting alliance between mighty orcs and puny humans.
Requirements include eligibility to work in the UK, at least two years of experience in user support in technical fields, previous experience in a technology environment, and availability to work Tuesday through Saturday. You should have strong communication skills, patience, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently with strong organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills. You’ll also need proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, strong troubleshooting and multitasking skills, native-level proficiency in written and spoken English, demonstrated accountability and ownership with a track record of independently driving projects to completion, and sound decision-making skills with the ability to apply policies and consider business context.
Bonus points include a solid understanding of different file types and folder structures, knowledge of scripting languages such as Java or Lua, and being a Minecraft player.
