Senior Trader

About Pave Bank: Pave Bank is the world’s first programmable business bank. Built by the founders behind Monzo and BigPay, we are redefining global business banking by integrating programmable financial infrastructure with world-class client experiences.

About the Role: As a Senior Trader at Pave Bank, you'll play a key role in executing multi-asset trading strategies and managing the bank's FX and digital asset exposures, liquidity, and treasury operations across global markets. Working across G20 and emerging-market FX, fixed income, derivatives, and digital assets/stablecoins, you'll help optimise trade execution, manage risk, and strengthen the bank's network of liquidity providers and OTC counterparties. Beyond day-to-day trading, you'll have the opportunity to build and improve trading and treasury workflows, leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency, market analysis, and decision-making. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong financial market expertise with a proactive, technology-driven mindset and thrives at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets.

AI Mindset: Active familiarity with AI tools and automation methods to optimise personal workflows, solve complex operational challenges, and scale desk capacity.

Technical & Quantitative Skills: Highly numerate with advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with SQL, Python, or building custom trading/treasury tools is a major bonus.

Decisive & Risk-Disciplined: Strong risk fundamentals with the confidence to make quick, well-calibrated decisions in live, fast-moving markets.

Communicator & Builder: Clear, confident communication style to lead partner discussions. A strong bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where execution speed is critical.

If you read through this description and don't check off every single box, but you have a strong foundation in market dynamics, a passion for digital assets, and a deep appetite to build — apply anyway. We care much more about your drive, your adaptability, and your capacity to learn than a 100% match on a checklist.
