At Solidus Labs, we are shaping the financial markets of tomorrow by providing cutting-edge, real-time trade surveillance and transaction monitoring technology for regulated and crypto-native financial institutions. We protect investors, enhance transparency, and ensure regulatory compliance across traditional assets, prediction markets and crypto.
We are hiring a Tech Lead to join our Algorithms team and own the Transaction Monitoring (TM) detection algorithms and product engineering effort end to end.
You will lead, mentor and grow the existing global TM engineering team, including sprint delivery, code quality and on-call health. You will own implementation of the off-chain TM detection suite and drive the build-out of on-chain TM, including wallet-level and protocol-level monitoring and the supporting data pipelines. You will produce and defend high-level and low-level designs covering system architecture, data models, detection logic and threshold and tuning frameworks.
You will partner with Global Product on the on-chain roadmap, translating regulatory and customer requirements into deliverable engineering plans. You will help shape reusable architecture and, over time, how engineering resources are shared across TM and TS. You will also work with compliance, customer success and solutions teams on alert quality, false-positive reduction and client tuning requests.
We are looking for 8+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years leading or tech-leading a team. You should have strong domain knowledge of the financial ecosystem, including fintech, payments, banking or crypto, and a solid understanding of financial crime or compliance concepts. You should be genuinely hands-on, with strong data structures and algorithms fundamentals, a track record of high-performance concurrent code, and experience reviewing pull requests and debugging production systems.
You should have proven design ownership at both architectural and detailed implementation levels, together with experience of high-throughput, low-latency data systems, including streaming technologies such as Kafka, analytical stores such as ClickHouse or Snowflake, and distributed batch processing. Clear written and verbal communication with non-engineering stakeholders is required, as is experience with AI coding and coding harnesses.
Nice to have are on-chain or blockchain data experience, including chain indexing, wallet clustering or DeFi protocol mechanics; exposure to trade surveillance or market abuse detection; and experience at a RegTech vendor or in a bank or exchange compliance technology function.
