We’re hiring Account Executives to win and grow exciting accounts in financial services. You’ll own $100K+ deals, work closely with the founders and help shape how we sell a product that can change the way an entire industry operates. You’ll work with inbound interest, RFP opportunities, partner introductions and creative outreach, alongside Commercial Associates and a team that supports its sellers. Your job is to turn those opportunities into lasting customer relationships and revenue.
Spektr is building compliance technology for regulated businesses. Its platform brings together onboarding, monitoring and investigations, with configurable workflows and AI agents that handle the legwork. This enables Product, Operations and Compliance teams to work together with the control they need to grow. Spektr has raised $26M, including a $20M Series A led by NEA, and works with customers including Pleo, Trustly, Nexi and Santander. The company has offices in Copenhagen, London and Iași, with customers across more than 15 countries.
You’ll own your accounts and deals, setting the account strategy and leading the sales cycle from discovery and qualification through proposals, pricing, negotiation and signature. You’ll build relationships across buying teams, understand the priorities of Product, Operations and Compliance stakeholders, develop champions and bring decision-makers together around a clear business case. You’ll learn the platform deeply, lead tailored demonstrations and work with spektrQ, the implementation team, on more involved demos and proofs of concept.
You’ll progress inbound enquiries, partner introductions and RFP opportunities while creating new opportunities in priority accounts. You’ll collaborate with Commercial Associates on research, outreach, meeting preparation and live deals, sharing your judgement and helping them take on more responsibility. You’ll also grow the accounts you win by identifying new use cases, teams and markets, owning the commercial side of expansion. You’ll keep deals moving through persistent follow-up, clear next steps and an honest forecast, bringing problems to the team early and helping improve how Spektr sells.
Spektr’s AEs work closely with Commercial Associates throughout the sales process. The spektrQ team helps demonstrate what is possible and how it will be delivered, while Growth, marketing and partnerships create reasons for prospects to engage. The founders get involved in strategic deals. You’ll be expected to create opportunities as well as work with inbound interest and RFPs, with support and freedom in how you do it. The team uses creative outreach, including custom comics, videos around prospects’ businesses and events.
You should be an experienced B2B software seller who has owned complex sales cycles, closed substantial deals and can explain how you made them happen. You should be comfortable building in an early-stage company, having helped develop a sales approach, opened accounts or built a market; founding AE experience is especially relevant. You’ll need strong discovery and commercial judgement, the ability to uncover the real problem, understand a buying process, build a business case and negotiate with confidence. You should be personable and credible, able to build trust with senior people and win support across a buying team. Curiosity about the product, resourcefulness, persistence, initiative, cross-team collaboration and a willingness to develop others are important. Experience selling into financial services or regulated businesses is useful, but the key requirements are the ability to learn a complex product, understand the customer and close.
The role offers the opportunity to work on $100K+ deals with relatively quick sales cycles for the industry, grow substantial customer accounts, sell technology already used by demanding financial businesses, work with Commercial Associates, product experts and founders, help build the commercial approach, develop people and feed customer insight directly into the business. The process consists of an initial conversation with the Head of Growth or Chief of Staff, a case study and a final conversation with the CEO.
