This is a unique opportunity to become the finance lead for PuzzlePlay, a fast-growing startup being built within Tripledot Studios. PuzzlePlay is scaling rapidly, expanding into new markets and growing its user base and portfolio. As the dedicated finance lead, you will have significant ownership and visibility across the entire business, covering core accounting and treasury, FP&A, international expansion, product launches and strategic projects. You will work directly with PuzzlePlay’s leadership and product teams, while partnering with Group Finance, Tax and Legal. You will have the autonomy and pace of a startup, backed by the expertise and infrastructure of a larger gaming group, and will build the finance function as the business grows.
You will own the finance function, leading month-end close, reporting, reconciliations and intercompany accounting; managing treasury, FX exposure and payment provider relationships; overseeing reward liabilities, settlement cycles and cash flow; and building and maintaining finance controls around fraud, abuse and user payouts. You will support growth by leading budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting; building financial models around PuzzlePlay’s economics and user dynamics; partnering with Product on the financial implications of new features and mechanics; supporting entry into new territories, including tax, payments, regulatory and compliance requirements; and working with Legal, KYC/Compliance and external advisers as the business expands.
You will also lead strategic projects, including supporting intercompany recharge arrangements, developing PuzzlePlay’s finance systems, processes and controls as it moves towards a standalone infrastructure, and owning statutory reporting and audit as the business reaches scale.
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally with 1–2 years’ PQE, who wants real ownership and exposure to a growing business. You should be commercially minded, with strong technical accounting fundamentals; adaptable to working autonomously in a fast-moving environment; confident building processes where they do not yet exist; comfortable working across finance, product, operations and senior leadership; and keen to develop experience across financial modelling, payments, multi-currency and international operations.
This is a chance to build something from the ground up while having the backing of a major gaming group, with broad exposure across finance, product, payments, international expansion and strategy.
Benefits include hybrid working, with 20 days of remote working from anywhere in the world or to cover mandatory office days; a daily £12 lunch allowance when working in the office; regular company events and rewards; an Employee Assistance Programme; family-forming and fertility support; life assurance and group income cover; continuous professional development; optional private medical cover and a health cash plan; optional dental cover; a cycle-to-work scheme; and a pension plan with qualifying earnings or optional 4% contributory match schemes.
