Arm Holdings is a British semiconductor and software design company headquartered in Cambridge, England, that designs and licences CPU architectures and related intellectual property used in the vast majority of mobile devices and a wide range of computing products globally. The company does not manufacture chips itself but licenses its processor designs to semiconductor partners including Apple, Qualcomm, Samsung, and many others. Arm returned to public markets via a Nasdaq IPO in September 2023 after being owned by SoftBank Group since 2016.
