(formerly Square, Inc.) is an American financial technology conglomerate comprising Square (merchant payments), Cash App (consumer finance), Afterpay (buy now, pay later), and Bitkey (bitcoin hardware wallet). Founded in 2009 and renamed Block in December 2021, the company is listed on the NYSE under ticker XYZ and serves millions of merchants and consumers worldwide. It has offices in London and Dublin.
