Darktrace is a British AI-powered cybersecurity company that uses self-learning artificial intelligence to detect and respond to cyber threats across cloud, email, OT, and network environments. Founded in 2013 by mathematicians and intelligence experts from the University of Cambridge, the company was taken private in October 2024 following a $5.3 billion acquisition by US private equity firm Thoma Bravo. It remains headquartered in Cambridge, UK.
