
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is London's strategic regional government, comprising the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. Established in 2000 under the Greater London Authority Act 1999, it provides citywide leadership across areas including housing, transport, policing, planning, the environment, arts, culture, and economic development. The GLA relocated its City Hall to the Royal Docks in March 2022.
