Ignite Social Enterprise

Ignite Social Enterprise is the UK's first energy-focused social impact investment fund, backed by Centrica and launched in 2013. The fund committed £10 million over ten years, making equity and debt investments of between £50,000 and £2 million in early-stage social enterprises operating in the energy sector and related fields such as sustainability and environmental technology. Portfolio companies have included Verv, Bio-bean, IRT, and Co Wheels Car Club.
