IPO

The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is the official UK government body responsible for intellectual property rights, including patents, trade marks, designs, and copyright. It operates as an executive agency sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Originally established as the Patent Office in 1852, it adopted its current operating name in 2007.
