QUBIS

QUBIS is the commercialisation and technology transfer arm of Queen's University Belfast, founded in 1984 to turn academic research into high-impact commercial ventures. It takes equity stakes in university spin-outs across digital, engineering, environmental, life science, and scientific sectors, and manages a seed investment fund that provides early-stage capital of £50,000 to £150,000 per company. QUBIS has helped create over 100 technology spin-outs, generating more than £100 million in total capital raised.
