Rockstar Games is an American video game publisher and subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, founded in December 1998, known for developing and publishing some of the best-selling video game franchises in history, including Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. The company has a significant UK presence through Rockstar North (Edinburgh), Rockstar Lincoln, and other UK studios. Rockstar Games is wholly owned by Take-Two Interactive and operates globally with approximately 5,970 employees.
