Dwelly is building the AI operating system for residential lettings. Its growing network of agencies provides its AI with real-world data, continuous feedback, and control over complete workflows, making exceptional service the standard for landlords and tenants. Today, Dwelly operates more than 15,000 properties and $470 million in GMV, making it one of the UK’s ten largest lettings operators. The company has raised $263 million and is a fast-growing, product-focused company backed by top-tier investors and led by a team with deep experience in real estate, technology, and operations.
Dwelly grows by acquisition, currently acquiring 1 to 3 lettings agencies every month, ranging from £100k tuck-in businesses to companies with purchase prices of £20–30M. The Launch team owns each business from deal completion, with involvement in due diligence and operational assessment shortly beforehand, until the acquired portfolio is fully migrated onto Dwelly software and standardised operational processes, at which point responsibility passes to the Head of Operations.
Dwelly is looking for a Head of Launch to build the engine that allows the company to keep acquiring at scale. The mandate is to create a repeatable, continuously improving onboarding and integration machine for small and mid-size agencies across the UK lettings market. The role will develop capacity from one integration at a time to running 2 to 3 concurrent integrations and beyond.
This is not only an integration role. While acquisitions are being integrated, the Head of Launch will own a portfolio of businesses that have completed but have not yet entered the integration flow. From completion, the team is responsible for managing people, owning day-to-day trading and P&L, and capturing early synergy opportunities ahead of full integration. Each Launch Manager carries a portfolio of businesses, both in integration and awaiting it. With a team of five Launch Managers, the role could be responsible for 25 individual businesses with combined annualised revenues exceeding £50M.
Reporting to the Director of Launch, the Head of Launch will lead a group of Launch Managers and Launch Associates dedicated to this segment. The role will inherit two direct reports and hire at least three more as the operation scales. The Director of Launch leads the other half of the team, focused on large to transformational deals, and the Head of Launch will act as the Director’s right hand across the whole Launch function.
The role will also be responsible for the eventual rollout of Dwelly’s platform-as-a-service offering: deploying Dwelly systems and processes into partner agencies under a profit-share arrangement. This is viewed as a major growth opportunity, allowing Dwelly to scale rapidly at a lower cost than acquisition alone. The central challenge is to turn integration into a product for small and mid-size deals. The acquired portfolio will be a live environment in which to build, test and harden that product until it approaches self-service, before it is deployed to paying partners.
Key responsibilities include designing, documenting and continuously improving the playbooks, tooling and metrics that make onboarding and integration repeatable across a high volume of acquisitions; owning the day-to-day performance of acquired businesses awaiting integration, including BAU operations, trading P&L, people management and early synergy capture; and building completion-day frameworks and communications playbooks. Initially, the Head of Launch will be present at completion to establish rapport with agency owners, management teams and staff, later attending the largest or most sensitive completions.
The role will build frameworks for identifying key talent to retain and managing employee transitions for those not continuing with Dwelly, personally handling the most complex or sensitive cases. It will establish baseline agency performance and user-experience metrics after acquisition, lead multiple integration projects covering data transfer, process migration and onboarding communications, and oversee accounting consolidation, office and car lease terminations and other administrative clean-up.
The Head of Launch will hire, develop and coach Launch Managers and Launch Associates; own the rollout of Dwelly systems and processes into partner agencies; work with the product team to improve the integration framework and map processes not yet supported; and deputise for the Director of Launch, representing the function with senior stakeholders when needed.
Dwelly is looking for a senior operator with 10+ years of experience, including significant time in venture-backed, high-growth businesses; a proven record of launching and scaling markets, functions or business lines from zero, such as new country launches, new market entries or post-acquisition integrations; and experience building and leading teams through rapid growth, including hiring and developing managers. Candidates should have a track record of designing scalable operating processes and playbooks, be comfortable owning trading P&L across a multi-site portfolio, communicate exceptionally well in stressful settings, and bring a structured, analytical, data-driven and hands-on approach.
The role is UK-based and requires a willingness to travel nationwide for more than 50% of working time. As Dwelly expands internationally, it offers a pathway to leading all UK launch functions, spanning acquisitions of every size and the partner service line, as well as becoming a key figure in international expansion. Compensation includes a competitive salary with equity options.
