Cinven is an international private equity firm founded in 1977, originally as part of the British Coal pension scheme, that became fully independent and partner-owned in 1995. The firm focuses on buyout investments across six sectors — Business Services, Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials, and TMT — and operates from nine offices globally including London, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, New York, Luxembourg, Guernsey, and Hong Kong. It has raised over €50 billion across eight funds, with Fund 8 closing at €13.2 billion in 2023, and manages approximately €44 billion in assets.
