
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) is a UK ministerial department established in February 2023, created to accelerate innovation and ensure that new and existing technologies are safely developed and deployed across the UK. It oversees science, research, digital infrastructure and technology policy, supported by 12 agencies and public bodies including the UK Space Agency, UK Research and Innovation, and the AI Security Institute.
