Abraaj

The Abraaj Group was a Dubai-based private equity firm founded in 2002 that invested in growth markets across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Turkey, managing over $13 billion in assets at its peak. The firm entered liquidation in 2018 following accusations of fraud and misappropriation of investor funds, with its various fund portfolios subsequently taken over by other private equity firms including Actis, Colony Capital, and TPG.
