Royal Society

The Royal Society is the UK's national academy of science and the world's oldest continuously existing scientific academy, founded in 1660 by Royal Charter of King Charles II. It promotes and recognises excellence in science through its Fellowship of distinguished scientists, funds research, and advises government on scientific matters. The Society supports science education, international collaboration, and public engagement with science.
