CommunityVC

10x10 is a UK-based community of Black founders, angel investors, and venture capitalists, founded in 2015 by Andy Davis as an informal support network that began as a WhatsApp group. The network connects Black entrepreneurs with capital and peer support through office hours, pitch sessions, and a Slack community, and has produced The Black Report in partnership with Google for Startups. The community has since expanded to include 10x10 Capital, an investment fund and AngelList syndicate investing in Black founders at pre-seed stage.

AFBE-UK

AFBE-UK (Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers) is a UK company limited by guarantee (registered no. 6570439) founded in 2007 that supports ambitious students and engineering professionals from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds. It runs over 100 events annually, operates a mentoring programme with 300 mentors, and has reached more than 20,000 beneficiaries since inception.

AI Standards Hub

The AI Standards Hub is a UK initiative dedicated to knowledge sharing, community building, and strategic research around the standardisation of AI technologies. It is a partnership led by the Alan Turing Institute with the British Standards Institution (BSI) and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), supported by the UK Government's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Launched in October 2022, the Hub works to increase multi-stakeholder participation in AI standards development and facilitate international engagement.
