The organisation employs over 300 people and collaborates with industry, government, and academia.

It was formed in 2010 through the merger of Cambridge-based ERBI (established 1997) and the London Biotechnology Network, and provides connectivity, networking events, training, and member services.

Pride in STEM

Pride in STEM is a UK-registered charitable trust run by an independent group of LGBTQIA+ scientists and engineers that aims to showcase and support LGBTQIA+ people in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Founded in April 2016, the charity runs community events, public talks, a podcast, a small grants scheme, and co-ordinates the International Day of LGBTQIA+ People in STEM (18 November). It also undertakes advocacy and policy work with scientific institutions and government.
