Your customers are the developers, security teams, and operational teams at Wise’s partners. Companies such as Morgan Stanley, N26 and Ramp rely on Wise Platform APIs to run critical payment journeys in production. Your role is to ensure they can connect securely, operate reliably and troubleshoot issues quickly without requiring manual support.
As Senior Product Manager for API Tooling, you will own the roadmap and execution for the API access, security and webhook infrastructure and tooling supporting Wise Platform API integrations. You will focus on reducing partner-impacting incidents, particularly those related to authentication and webhooks; improving observability and self-service troubleshooting; and modernising authentication and security foundations so the platform can scale safely. You will work closely with the Security, Account Access and Wise Platform teams to build API solutions suitable for enterprise partnerships.
Your mission is to make Wise Platform integrations secure by default and reliable in production, with self-service operational API visibility that reduces failures and support load.
You will own the Wise Platform partner API access, webhook service and API security offering, making it easy for developers to connect securely and troubleshoot APIs. You will design credential management, authentication strategies and secure connection protocols in partnership with the Security team; build and improve webhook reliability, observability and usability; deliver API and webhook logs and diagnostic tools; and ensure that the authentication and security infrastructure is robust and scalable for long-term service demands.
You will define and execute a roadmap centred on secure access, reliability and operational excellence in production. Working closely with engineering, you will ship improvements that measurably reduce incidents, support load and time to resolution, while making pragmatic trade-offs between scope, security, reliability and delivery speed.
You will collaborate with platform engineering, security, compliance, support, sales and other product teams to deliver a cohesive partner experience, and align internal teams on ownership boundaries and operational processes for incident prevention and response. You will engage directly with partner developers and operational teams to understand production issues such as authentication failures, webhook problems and visibility gaps. You will use data and incident learnings to prioritise high-risk and high-impact improvements, define success metrics around reliability and operability, and deliver measurable reductions in partner-impacting incidents, faster troubleshooting and a stronger security posture that supports enterprise adoption.
You should have 6 or more years of product management experience, ideally with APIs, platform products, security, identity, authentication or infrastructure. You will need a strong understanding of authentication and access patterns such as OAuth2, API keys, JOSE and mTLS, as well as identity and access lifecycles and operational reliability concepts. You should be comfortable discussing architecture, threat and risk trade-offs, and reliability and observability with engineers; empathetic towards partner developers and operators; analytical and data-driven; and able to set measurable goals and use metrics and incident data to drive prioritisation and iteration. You should have a track record of shipping impactful platform improvements in complex, cross-functional environments, together with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Wise is committed to building diverse, equitable and inclusive teams. The company describes itself as an international team and aims to ensure that every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute and able to progress in their career.
